There's not a lot of purple out in my part of the world right now, but I did find this interesting and unexpected purple thing to shoot yesterday on my hill country travels. Can you guess what it is?

Love the pic. A feather duster, maybe?
I have no idea what that is! If you ever do find yourself this way again, please do plan to visit. We are very far north from Lisa in the mountains at nearly 8,000' altitude so it's quite different up here. Carmon
My first thought was of a beach ball. Most intriguing shot! Oh, is there a prize??
Red cabbage????
So creative of you, I'm not sure what it is. Happy Sunday.
A bowling ball!!! Very creative...:-)
No idea! Interesting shot.
My first thought was bowling ball, but I doubt you saw that... No clue.
no idea, but it's interesting!
No idea what it is but I like it - lots of movement in it!
no idea! but thanks for the visit, flowerweaver!
no idea on what it is but it is pretty!
I am with Ed, my first thought was a bowling ball! very good.
That is fun. I vote for the red cabbage. Great shot anyway.
peyote button ? .....bob
Whoa...that's interesting-looking. Maybe some purpley ferns waving in the wind at a slow shutter speed to make them so blurry? I like it a lot, it has an interesting and mysterious aspect to it. So don't keep us in suspense, what is it??
So Cool! :D I think its a bowling ball or a flower vase? That black line is confusing me a bit! Very creative. Love it anyways :D
I'm voting that it is a type of radicchio. =)(http://italianfood.about.com/library/rec/blr0094.htm)
OK, I won't keep you guessing...it IS a bowling ball! Yes, a very unlikely thing for me to come across out in the wilds. You can read about how I found it in my previous post:

Nivin, the black line is a crack from its new outdoor life. You, Ed, Lisa, and Sara were correct.
But I must say it does rather look like radicchio or red cabbage, which are much more likely to be found in my yard! Now if I could only get a photo of one of those and have you guessing a bowling ball!
Thanks for playing everyone!
