Color Carnival: Our Rainbow of Eggs

Many people do not realize eggs come in natural colors other than white or brown. We also have pink, green, blue, tan, and dark brown laid by our heritage breed hens. Aren't they beautiful? We sell them as a Rainbow Selection. Here's the mock up for our new egg carton label.

I never knew chicken eggs came in such pretty colors. All we ever get are the brown ones. Too pretty.

What happened to the blue egg emporium?!? There are probably a million green star farms...

You mean our Cosmic Blue Egg Emporium? Yes, I guess that is a little more original. But emporium makes you think we have our own store, which we don't

Now that we are selling our eggs in town it seemed better to name them after the farm. If you google it there are surprisingly not that many.

It's subject to change--the store wanted a label. But that's good feedback.

Cool looking eggs. For a while, I bought eggs from an old man, nearby, Many of his eggs were blue. .......bob

Lovely! It is a long time since I saw anything but brown eggs. I dont think I have seen most of those colours though!

I've never seen such colors on egg, over here usually it's just the light brown type.

Oh, my, that bowl of eggs is so beautiful. I love your label. It would be such a treat to open an egg carton and find a rainbow of colors!

Very soft colors....I did know of the many colors because used to buy them from a friend in Colorado Springs who has hens that lay these pretty colored eggs and I was always surprised when I opened the carton to see the many different colors.

lol! I love that carton label. So cute!
I'd love to have those blue eggs. We get the browns in all light to med. shades (and soon to be dark brown) and also green and white.

Funny story about the white eggs, though. When we put any white eggs in a carton, there is always someone who asks us why we slipped in a store-bought grocery store egg! lol!
They are so used to seeing only white eggs mass-produced, that they assume that only brown eggs are farm raised and white are factory farmed.

Oh well, to avoid any confusion we just keep the huge white eggs for ourselves. lol!

Oh, your eggs are so beautiful. We have ordinary hens now, but we used to have aracanas and an assortment of others and I loved the neat colored eggs.
Also really like your macro Monday. Wow!

I adore the eggs. The photo of the chicken I am less crazy about on the new label. It's a little disturbing, somehow, and hard to instantly recognize as a chicken. You might rethink that part of the label if that's possible. I'm a pro graphic designer so I feel as if I can make suggestions on your label. Hope that's OK. Those eggs are fabulous and I bet delicious, too!

Love your pretty eggs! We also have a variety of egg colors ranging from pink to medium brown and green. We often share them with our church family and have gotten many interesting comments including "What kind of chicken laid these eggs?","Are they green on the inside?" and my favorite "Are they safe to eat?" LOL!!!! Gotta love it!
