Cream Brabanter
Here's a Cream Brabanter chick. This rare breed originated in the historic region of Brabant which straddles the Netherlands and Belgium. Like the Spitzhauben it also has a crest, but additionally has a muff (beard). It is relatively unknown outside of Europe, and is not recognized by the American Standard of Perfection. They lay white eggs.

I learned this weekend that doves lay creamy colored eggs and they have the prettiest translucent sheen to them. A dove is nesting in my planter box on the patio. I guess no caladiums for me this year!
oh, oops that was me, dana, signed in on the wrong name again. ha ha!
OMG, that is the cutest thing! I love looking at your chicken pictures. I've always had heavy breeds and brown egg layers, and looking at your birds is like learning a whole new species!
