My Aunt Elsie called today, remembering my mother's birthday. She hasn't done this in the past, but I guess by the time you are 89 you are filled with memories, and it was a good day for sharing them. My mother passed away over three decades ago.
Mom accompanied my father on some of his foreign duty during his two decades of service. So to honor them today, I have colorized one of my favorite photos of her as a young lady.

What a beautiful tribute! They should just call it "Memory Day" for me, because it calls up all sorts of memories each year when it rolls around.
BTW, I love the rustic door for the chicken coop. It's so cool, it would make a lovely garden gate, too! I love all things rustic, ya know!
Off topic ~ Me again. Thanks for the info on the hoodia, I will look it up; I take any plant offered, so I sometimes get "unknown" things. I always have seed to share; email me and I'll send you a list of what I have on hand now if you want anything to plant for summer.
